What You Are Eating, Drinking And Smelling Can Make You Ill
Have you noticed that in America, people are getting not just getting fatter, but the obesity level is almost an epidemic. In our fast paced world, our bodies don't seem to want to move that quickly. It would be considered normal now a days to come home from work, eat dinner and then spend the rest of the evening on the couch watching TV. For thousands of years we have ran our bodies hard for our daily living. Our bodies are designed to do that! So how did we lose our way? Why have we become so lethargic, sick so easily with a higher rate of major illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, digestive difficulties etc? It's really quite simple. We live in such a toxic environment that it is almost impossible to get away from it!
There used to be many mom and pop farms that produced organic produce, it wasn't considered organic then, that was just how it was. Livestock and chickens fed naturally from the earth as it had been for centuries. As the world became smaller due to huge increases in population, the demand for food became great! So much so, that now about 3/4 of all farm land is now government subsidized and a drastic change in how farming is done.. To sustain more crop, less insect predators and weed free farmland, a new way emerged. Pesticides and herbicides! In the beginning it was hailed as a miracle! Products like DDT were increasing the total crop value. It was discovered later just how harmful it was but not without taking casualties. Other chemicals have since been created to use. But are they all safe. Some experts say not!
These toxic chemicals permeate throughout all types of produce and to add insult to injury, our soil has become deficient in nutrient value and in some cases cannot be replaced. We eat toxic food everyday. Look at any smoke stack and see how dirty it makes our air. Cars, trains and planes spew toxins in the air. We breathe this. Our rivers and oceans are polluted. We need to do some major filtering just to have safe drinking water.
Processed foods originally were developed to meet supply and demand. Seemed reasonable at first but the cost of health was not taken into consideration. All aspects of our health are interrupted, especially our digestive system and the the liver and kidneys
It may seem hopeless to take charge of this situation but there are many things you can do to reduce and even reverse toxicity! Detoxing your body will be ongoing because the chemicals will continue to be around you unless by some miracle man wises up.
Almost any cleansing program out there will have you drinking a lot of liquids, especially water. Water is essential to flushing out toxins. Every part of your body needs water to do this. One way a person flushes out toxins is by sweating. This is great! Go for the sauna, but beware, if you are not replacing what you lost from sweating then you can dehydrate yourself and that just won't do.
Whenever possible, eat organic fruits and vegetables and lots of it. Go crazy with the salads. Raw food is the natural way to eat. There is no animal or insect on earth that cooks food, only man!
Everyone's body has a ph level that is optimum. An over acidic body will eventually become diseased. All foods are either acid or alkaline. Our bodies need at least 75% alkaline foods for optimal health. To find out what condition your body is in, just go to any drug store and ask for ph strips. They are easy to use.
Reducing stress can help you tremendously! Stretching, yoga and even a foot massager can all help you relax. Stress can raise blood pressure so you'll want to find ways to de stress yourself and come down from all of the pressures of daily life.
Eliminating environmental toxins from the body may boost your immune systems ability to heal itself. Wouldn't it be great to feel better? You can! Check with your local health care provider before starting any detox or cleanse program. You don't have to be the effect of the environment we've created. You can do something to improve your health. So do it!
