There are different types of acne. Most people will experience cases of mild to moderate acne. It's not too difficult for these people to find an acne remedies at the drugstore.

Cysts that appear in a small area of skin can actually combine. This process leads to soft areas connected by tunnels, cell destruction and inflammation. It may also lead to another severe form of acne which is known as acne conglobata.

It is no surprise that this form of acne requires expert medical attention. Which may result in the use of potent acne medication to treat this form of acne. For this type of condition to be treated successfully it requires several treatments.

Don't give up quite yet. It is quite common for a person to undergo several treatments. This is due to the fact that if may be necessary to adjust medication and acne treatment until the ideal combination is found. In some cases, isotretinoin, antibiotics, and even oral contraceptives are used to treat nodulocystic acne.

It may be necessary to surgically excise and drain the cysts or nodules. As I stated before, a doctor should be in charge of doing this procedure. Another treatment option that applied is the use of intralesional corticoid injections that dissolve larger cysts.
