Natural Skin Products and Home Remedies for Warts

by Valerie DeVette

A wart is formed when cells grow abnormally in any given place on the body. Warts are quite common and are caused by a viral infection, which also makes them contagious. Warts can disappear after a few months or few years, but they can also recur.

There are various types of warts that vary in size, shape and affected area. These common warts often include plantar warts, flat warts, filiform warts, genital warts, mosaic warts, and periungual warts. These warts are most often caused by Type 1, 2, and 3 HP viruses.

Luckily, treatment options are generally the same for all cases, however, the most common and effective treatment for wart removal is salicylic acid which can take up to 3 months to remove a wart.

Another type of treatment used to help remove warts is cryosurgery. It should take about three sessions to remove a common wart with cryosurgery. However, up to a dozen session will be required if you want to remove foot warts.

Electrodissection is another possibility that will help remove a wart by using a heated, metal probe. Surgical curettage, also known as scraping, is another way of removing warts.

There are some natural skin products and home remedies that can also be used to help eliminate warts in a gentler fashion.

Apply aloe vera juice directly to the wart. This product will help dissolve the wart and tone up the skin.

You can also dissolve warts gently by using foods that contain proteolytic enzymes. This includes foods such as papyas, banana peels, pineapples and figs. Simply mash up the fruit or peel, apply it to the area, and tape a bandage around it.

Milkweed is a weed that has often been used to help remove warts. The fresh sap is applied to the wart once a day. It is non-irritating and does not affect the surrounding skin.

Like most skin problems, changing your diet can be a huge benefit. By eating more asparagus, citrus fruits, eggs, garlic and onions, you will increase the amount of sulfur in your diet. This helps reduce the appearance of warts.

Keep in mind that most wart treatments (with the exception of dissection) are lengthy, so you must be patient and consistent. Fortunately, warts can be treated fairly easily, but if for some reason they do recur you can still treat them using a natural form of treatment that we have yet to mention.

Warts treatments include applying salicylic acid, cryotherapy and electrodissection. However, BIOSKINCARE is an excellent skin care cream that can be used for warts removal. This is all possible because it is made with snail serum, a potent, natural ingredients that can help promote healthy skin regeneration and the dissolution of damaged and abnormal tissue.
